Phil Zapadka

“I’ve long been interested in local issues and would like to participate in Canterbury’s future as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals”, says Phil Zapadka.

He has been employed in agriculture and horticulture all his life, as a garden center owner in Connecticut and North Carolina, and as manufacturer of greenhouses and agricultural buildings here in Connecticut. He holds a BS degree in Business from Southern Connecticut State University. Phil says he is currently “semi retired” but is still involved in greenhouse construction.

Phil, a Connecticut native, has called Canterbury home for the past 21 years. He and wife Kate have been married for 41 years and raised three children. They are both avid sailors and gardeners and Phil enjoys winemaking in his spare time.
