George Younger

When asked why he is seeking re-election, George Younger said, “With over 40 years of experience in the Information Systems Field, a college degree and a lifelong love of reading, I believe that I can continue to make positive contributions to help the Library maintain and improve its excellent position in the community.”

George has a BS degree from Dickinson College and is particularly interested in helping the library with computer/technology issues and currently serves  on the Library’s Technology Committee as its chairman.

Since moving to town years nine ago, George has combined his personal interest in Colonial restoration with service on Canterbury Historical Society’s Green School House Restoration Committee. When not working on restoration projects, George enjoys sailing, kayaking and gardening.
